Territory Sales Manager (0-5 Years Experience)

OCuSOFT is an expanding ophthalmic pharmaceutical and supplies company marketing a wide range of products that include not only pharmaceuticals but supplies and medical devices as well. The Company commands a unique position among ophthalmic product suppliers insofar as the Company is also actively involved in research and product development. The Company’s competitors include a number of traditional distributor suppliers, however, many of these companies have no sales forces and depend largely on direct mail and telesales as their principal means of selling product. Generally, such companies offer no proprietary products, formulas or brands. Longer-term competitors include R&D companies with fully integrated manufacturing and selling arms.

OCuSOFT utilizes contract manufacturers for its products. The Company believes by concentrating on R&D and sales and marketing, it can more effectively focus on its core strengths. The Company offers a number of Rx products sold directly into doctors’ offices as well as over-the-counter (OTC) products which are detailed and sampled to doctors in-office. Patients will then go to traditional drug stores and pharmacy chains to purchase for their on-going needs. The Company also markets Rx branded products. Representatives will inform and educate doctors on these particular products. In closing, when indicated, the Representative will request that the doctor write a prescription to treat the patient. Patients will then have their prescription filled at the pharmacy.

The Company is now in an expansion phase that requires the services of a personable, energetic, “can-do” individual capable of overnight travel for the position of Territory Sales Manager (TSM). TSM’s have complete responsibility for their territory including detailing to physicians and presentations to pharmaceutical buyers and administrators. Our business is relationship-driven so that in addition to being personable, candidates should be comfortable in social situations outside the office. The Company develops and promotes innovative products that require technical presentations so the preferred candidate will have good communication skills and be conscientious in their study habits in order to develop their product knowledge.

The Company’s business model centers on offering a wide range of products to the doctor and their offices. This “one-stop shopping” concept is especially attractive to doctor’s offices and clinics which are looking to improve efficiencies. TSM’s can be expected to detail select products to physicians, however, unlike Pharma companies where there is no direct selling, OCuSOFT presents and negotiates with buyers and administrators to generate direct orders in the doctors office and in surgical centers. Therefore, the ability to close and “ask for the order” is critical. The Company offers not only pharmaceutical products but also ophthalmic devices such as punctum plugs so the ideal candidate will be one who seeks new challenges and learning experiences.

In short, the ideal candidate will be personable, creative, independent, a multi-tasker, and able to “think out of the box”. He or she must possess good organizational skills and be free to travel. College degree required. No experience necessary. Inside Sales Opportunities for Scaredy-Cats

O.K., we'll admit that working for some companies in any sales capacity can be a little intimidating. Not at OCuSOFT! Why you ask? Well, for starters, you will be working in a professional environment speaking to doctor's offices and clinics. Next, we offer free samples of our products! Of course, we take orders (the more the better) but because we work with professionals; send out free samples and catalogs; people buy from us! You don't really have to sell anything.

You see, to our customers we are considered information providers. You will be equipped from the start with a comprehensive training program which not only reviews our products, but covers basic anatomy of the eye. You will operate as a trained professional in the field of pharmaceuticals for eye care. After training, you will be assigned a territory where you will have an opportunity to see your efforts pay off in terms of business growth for the territory and the Company and commissions for you! You will need to review products and specials with your customers, but doing so in a professional environment is just not that difficult--in fact, it's fun.

So, who among you is qualified? You must live in the Houston area (our office is located in Richmond-Rosenberg), and have a minimum high school diploma. 2 year junior college graduates or 2 years of college will have first priority and a 4 year degree is a plus. You will have the choice of working full, part-time or flex-time. For women with small children, this can be a real advantage. Professional Service Representative / Customer Service

The Company is looking for persons to work as a Professional Service Representative / Customer Service. The position involves answering telephone inquires, taking orders and data entry. Positions are full-time with hourly compensation. Consider the positive working environment at OCuSOFT! First, you will be working in a professional environment communicating and interacting with doctor's offices and clinics. You see, to our customers we are considered information providers. You will be equipped from the start with a comprehensive training program which not only reviews our products, but covers basic anatomy of the eye. You will operate as a trained professional in the field of pharmaceuticals for eye care. We are even expanding into the field of pediatrics.

As an information provider, you will need to review products and specials with our customers. In addition, we offer free samples for many of our products--and just about everybody likes getting something for free! Office hours are 8:30 am-5:30 pm with one early/late day per week (to allow for different time zones) and no weekends!

To work as a Professional Service Representative / Customer Service, you must be personable and have a minimum high school diploma or its equivalency . Independent Sales Representatives

BACKGROUND: OCuSOFT Inc., doing business as OCuSOFT, is an ophthalmic pharmaceutical company that has been serving the ophthalmic industry for over 20 years. OCuSOFT provides diagnostic pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and surgical supplies, as well as various proprietary branded over-the-counter products (OCuSOFT Lid Scrub is but one) and now prescription products to eye care professionals and pharmacies throughout the country.
 
Historically, the Company has offered Rx, OTC, and surgical products. While many optometrists used the Company’s products, the focus has been on ophthalmology due to the surgical aspects of the Company’s business. More and more products have been added which can be used by both ophthalmology and optometry and so the Company is expanding its presence into optometry. The Company offers a wide range of punctum plugs—a medical device used in the care and management of dry eye patients. Therefore, punctum plugs coupled with diagnostic pharmaceuticals, prescription brands, etc. create a unique opportunity for the right individual. In most cases, practitioners are already using some if not all of these products. Openings are available in many territories and may be discussed with Rose Mary Martinez, OCuSOFT’s V.P. Sales.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking professional sales representatives to call on ophthalmologists and/or optometrists (and pharmacies) in a given territory. You will be required to detail our prescription products and increase direct-to-doctor sales of diagnostics, medical devices, and other distributed products. The salary will be on a commission-only basis, although, depending on the circumstance, the company may choose to cover some associated expenses.
 
SELLING CONCEPT & TRAINING: Products are categorized as Diagnostic, Device, or Prescription.  Diagnostics are largely those eye-drops purchased by doctors for use in-office to dilate the patient’s eyes in eye exams. Those who are already working in the ophthalmic industry and who have time constraint may benefit from a quick 1- day seminar that we offer. This will serve to familiarize you with these various products. “Devices” refer specifically to punctum plugs for use in dry eyes and is covered in the seminar also. For those who have some additional time available for training, we usually allow two days for classroom and then work in the field with an established OCuSOFT representative.

 

PRESCRIPTION PRODUCTS: In addition to Devices, and Diagnostics, our Prescription Products will add tremendous value to your eye care portfolio.
