The ALODOX™ Convenience Kit contains ALODOX™ (Doxycycline Hyclate 20 mg), OCuSOFT® Lid Scrub™ PLUS Extra Strength Pre-Moistened Pads, and OcuSOFT® Lid Scrub™ Original Foaming Eyelid Cleanser. This convenient combination therapy will significantly increase patient compliance and improve overall eyelid hygiene therapy.

Reports confirm doxycycline is prescribed significantly more often than minocycline, in part because it is a more potent collagenase inhibitor. The use of subantimicrobial dose (low dose) doxycycline hyclate has been shown to be beneficial in the enzyme modulation treatment of inflammatory disease. At such low levels (<50mg), doxycycline reduces inflammation while maintaining maximum plasma drug concentrations below the antimicrobial threshold resulting in fewer side effects.
