The TEKNIQUE™ diagnostic lens set has been specifically designed and crafted to be used as a tool to aid in determining the estimated true corneal power of an eye that has undergone corneal refractive surgery (RK PRK LASIK and CTK). In conjunction with the Contact Lens Method, recently transferred into a formula by Kenneth J. Hoffer, M.D., the TEKNIQUE™ diagnostic lens set specifically addresses the problem of determining the true optical central power of the cornea. The method is based on the idea that refractive surgery has changed the corneal power and that the refractive change must be added to the pre-surgical power of the cornea in order to estimate its present power.
