OCuSOFT® Lid Scrub is a patented non-irritating cleansing solution, which is used to remove oil, debris and desquamated skin from the eyelids. The Company has determined that when used regularly by contact lens wearers, the potential for infection and irritation is significantly reduced. By way of explanation, OCuSOFT® Lid Scrub helps to remove oil and debris that might otherwise enter the tear film. In cases where the corneal epithelium has been compromised, such incidents might well lead to infection. In other cases, such debris might lead to increased irritation or to the added build-up which sometimes occurs most often when wearing RGP (rigid gas permeable) contact lenses. For the last two years, the Company has been partnered with Lobob Laboratories, a contact lens solution company based in San Jose, California whereby OCuSOFT® Lid Scrub has been included with each new starter kit for Optimum® brand (an RGP-approved solutions system) contact lens solutions.
