The Company is quick to note these Tears Again® gels are the first gel lubricants available completely preservative-free. Tears Again® NIGHT & DAY Lubricant Gel is a more viscous formula that was developed originally for moderate-severe Dry Eye conditions. Since that introduction, the Company has followed up with Tears Again® Gel Drops™ , a lower viscosity alternative indicated for mild-moderate conditions.

Tears Again® NIGHT & DAY Lubricant Gel, in 3.5 gm tubes, was the first lubricant gel to be introduced in the U.S and the gel technology used in its formulation is patented. Gel technology offers a number of advantages when compared to ointments. First and foremost, gels do not blur vision like ointments. There is a transient blur of some 2-3 minutes due to viscosity, however, longer-term vision is not compromised. Since Tears Again® NIGHT & DAY Lubricant Gel will not blur vision like ointments, it may be used day or night! Patients appreciate this convenience and thus patient compliance is improved.
