CYNACON/OCuSOFT® is pleased to announce Tears Again® NIGHT & DAY Lubricant Gel now utilizes Dissipate™, the most advanced preservative system available. In a prepared statement, Cynthia Barratt, President remarked, "A great deal of work went into developing this new system. We feel Dissipate™ offers an ideal balance between the need for safety and the goal of eliminating preservative irritation through the use of preservative-free products".

Dissipate™ is based on an oxy-borate complex which "dissipates" upon entering the eye. According to Troy Smith, Media & Professional Relations, "Dissipate™ is unique due to the speed in which it works. In laboratory tests, Dissipate™ was broken down harmlessly into oxygen and water by 93% after just one minute. After two minutes, it was completely gone. It's just amazing. Being completely candid, the need for expensive unit-dose packaging to avoid preservative irritation is eliminated with Dissipate™".

In continuing remarks, Nat G. Adkins, Jr., Chairman of the Board states, "Our previous preservative system was never a problem due the minimal 1-2x daily instillation regimen (traditional eye-drops require 4-6x daily instillation).
