Rosenberg, TX (April 22, 2016) – OCuSOFT Inc., a privately-held eye and skin care company with an established reputation for innovation in eyelid hygiene and ocular health was pleased to continue its new speaker series program at Optometry’s Meeting® in Boston, MA. There were two dinner events hosted; the first focusing on building a Dry Eye practice featuring guest speaker Alan Kabat, O.D. and the second focusing on incorporating cosmetic products in optometry featuring guest speaker Seema Nanda, O.D.
The new educational series showcases a variety of outstanding professional speakers including Doug Devries, O.D., Alan Kabat, O.D., Paul Karpecki, O.D. and Seema Nanda, O.D.. These events are currently being hosted in numerous locations across the United States. “How to Build a Dry Eye Practice: Incorporating Eyelid Hygiene” centers on increasing practice revenue, patient compliance and overall patient health. This is accomplished through the incorporation of specialty products into the optometric practice. Also included would be in-office procedures and take-home maintenance routines for patients. A focal point of the discussion was new OCuSOFT® Lid Scrub® PLUS Platinum with PSG-2™ and OCuSOFT® HypoChlor™ Hypochlorous acid while respectively both ridding the eyelids of bacteria and conditioning delicate periocular tissues. The dinner event at Lucca north End was completely full and highlighted the experiences of Dr. Kabat while developing and growing his Dry Eye practice and how encompassing new practices and new products into his existing routine positively impacted not only his practice revenue, but also the long term benefit to his patients.
“Eyelids & Eyelashes: A Focus on Growth For Your Practice” addresses increasing practice revenue and overall patient satisfaction through the incorporation of cosmetic products into practice development. This would include eyelash intensifying serums, bruise and scar creams, facial cleansers and make-up removers and are offered by Zoria® Skin Care from OCuSOFT®. The dinner event at Morton’s Steakhouse highlighted the experiences of Dr. Nanda in recognizing the patient’s interest in not only feeling good but looking good as well. Often, the patient’s interest in contacts is to improve their appearance—the same can be said for tinted contact lenses or fashion frames. Why not offer the full range of products addressing facial features while increasing practice revenue and adding to the overall patient experience?
“Each Speaker Series event provides opportunities for members of the optometric community to share outlooks and views with outstanding communicators,” said Troy Smith, Vice President Professional and Technical Relations at OCuSOFT®. “We look forward to continuing our goal of improving each patient's health by bringing together professionals to discuss the most recent developments in patient care and practice building and by always providing the highest quality products for not only eye care, but also skin care”.
